Midnight Monolith
Formed by Cameryn Duran, Christopher Duran, and Harry Watermeier in 2019, Midnight Monolith aims to create aesthetically beautiful, emotionally resonant films that explore the unique anxieties of the twenty-first century.
While Midnight Monolith acts as a blanket credit to everyone involved with the projects, my personal role ranges from writing and directing to cinematography and editing. Film is a highly collaborative art form, and MM allows me to express my creativity in unique and untapped ways. My primary role is that of the DP, or Director of Photography.
To date, we have five short films, and an audio experiment that are available to the public. We just released our newest short film, and are currently writing a feature length script behind the scenes. Our latest short, GENESIS VALLEY, was recently awarded Best Thriller in the 2025 Chicago Short Film Festival!
